| The multi-talented Shan George |
Shan George is a name that has international acclaim in the movie/entertainment industry. Born in Ediba, a town in Abi local government area of Cross River State, Nigeria; Shan was born to a Nigerian mum and a British dad. The multi-talented actress and producer has enjoyed the support and love of her fans that all through the years from the late 90’s till date. Shan has sometimes been described as a prettier version of Halle Berry. For those who have met Shan in real life, the lady is not just a pretty face, but one with extreme humility and a lively sense of humour. Shan George never greets a person without a smile on her face. It is no wonder therefore why she loved within and outside the movie industry.
Leisure Quest was delighted to come in contact with Shan George at the December 2016 edition of the annual Cross Rivers Movie Awards (CRMA). Ever since then, Shan George has been a great supporter of Leisure Quest Blog. In response to our request for a brief formal interview, Shan agreed to share updates on her latest projects.
Here are excerpts of the interview:
What is the name of your movie production company and how long has it been in existence?
My movie production company is 18 yrs old and it’s called Shandel Productions, and has over 25 movies to its credit.
What category of artistes do you have on board and what are the criteria for new comers who wish to act under your tag?
We cast for each movie according to the story line and
most often hold open auditions to chose actors who best carry d role.
For those who wish to act in our movies, we advice them to attend our
auditions whenever we call for one.
Name a few of your current works.
Few of my current works include ONE GOODMAN, LUNATIC, GREY SHADOWS and AYADE. All coming out Soon.
Apart from acting and movie production, what other activities take up your extra time?
Producing and Acting takes up almost all my time. Family matters takes the remaining time.
Do you plan to ever deviate from acting into a new profession over time?
No Such Plans for now. If there ever is, it will still be something inside the Entertainment world.
Where is your favourite holiday choice spot?
Holiday choice for me is My Village.
What is your message to your old and new fans?
To all my wonderful fans, keep the hope alive. Better days are ahead.
Who is your favourite role model?
My favourite Role Model is Jesus Christ.
